Retired nurse Mrs Dorothea Collingwood*, 70, a well-respected member of her local community and church suffered injuries to her knee from falling inside a bus which was in collision with a car. Levenes established that the car driver was responsible and proceedings were issued against him to obtain damages.
Mrs Collingwood worked hard to restore her mobility to allow her to carry on with her church and charitable activities. However, she was left with the possibility of a future operation on the knee damaged in the accident.
Levenes were successful in obtaining damages for Mrs Collingwood in the sum of £40,000.00, money which she will use to provide for a more comfortable retirement. On top of this all legal costs were also paid by the Defendant’s insurance company.
