Trip at WorkA Fork Lift Engineer receives settlement for shoulder injury sustained in accident at work
Mr Smith was employed as an Engineer servicing Fork Lift Trucks. He had gone to a Factory to service a number of Fork Lift Trucks. During the course of that service he needed some parts and made his way to a shed where those parts were kept. He collected the required parts but as he left the shed with the parts he caught his foot on something lying on the floor causing him to fall and trip forwards. As a result he sustained ligament and soft-tissue injuries to his left shoulder. After the issue of Proceedings Mr Smith received £13,000 to compensate him for his injuries and other losses. He received his compensation in full, the Insurance Company paying all of his legal bills on top.
