Lavinia joined Levenes Solicitors in June 2019 and is currently working as a Paralegal within the Romanian Personal Injury Department, dealing with a vast range of cases such as accidents at work, road traffic accidents, slipping and tripping accidents, public liability claims, as well as criminal injury cases and claims against the Motor Insurers’ Bureau (MIB).
In 2016 Lavinia completed a four year law degree in Romania and graduated with a 1st class. Lavinia has the right of practice, being registered with the Romanian Association of Legal Advisers and practised mostly in administrative law, civil and commercial litigation.
She has also worked as a research assistant for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, assisting with a European project named “EU Strategy for the Danube Region”.
Lavinia broadened the public and governance administration experience by undertaking training at the European Parliament in Brussels, later followed by work in civil services as a consular officer for the Consular Section, Embassy of Romania to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Currently, Lavinia is completing her Master’s degree in Public International Law at City, University of London where she is also undertaking the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Scheme training course.
In her free time, Lavinia is taking advantage of every opportunity to learn about other cultures by travelling and learning other foreign languages. She practiced professional tennis for 7 years and now she enjoys winter sports and Krav-Maga.
