Mr H* was visiting his girlfriend at her home when he was bitten by an Alsatian dog that had not been secured by its owner in the premises below her flat.

Mr H sustained bite wounds to his right leg which required stiches in hospital. He was admitted to hospital overnight and the wound was thoroughly cleaned out . Mr H was also left with some scarring as a result of the dog attack.

At trial the Judge accepted Kevin McManamon’s valuation of the damages Mr H should receive and he was awarded over £11,000 in compensation.
