Isidoro Bonilla, a senior Solicitor/Abogado at Levenes who specialises in Foreign Claims, spoke at the Young Lawyers Group Pan European Organisation of Personal Injury Lawyers (PEOPIL YLG) in Prague on 23 March 2018. He spoke jointly with Rebeca Martinez from BCV Lex, also dual qualified French and Spanish lawyer, about making the most of the non-legal and additional skills.

The talk was based on a non-legal topic but was very necessary to the performance and delivery of the duties of a lawyer.

Isidoro shared his experience in becoming a dual qualified lawyer and working in another jurisdiction. He also provided information about the importance of commercial awareness and networking. Rebeca’s talk underlined the challenges ahead that lawyers encounter when organising their own time and tasks.

As a conclusion of the soft skills talk Rebeca and Isidoro provided some helpful tips and a dos and don’ts checklist.

The conference was a great success where young lawyers specialised in international injury from all Europe attended.
