Brain Injury Team Secure 6 Figure Settlement for Grandmother
Levenes Injury Solicitors have secured a six figure settlement for a grandmother who was hit by a car as she was crossing the road with her grandson.
Mrs GJ was taking her grandson to school. She was crossing a pelican crossing on Bounds Green Road and had a green light in her favour when the driver of a car came at speed, ignored the red light and struck Mrs GJ and her grandson. Mrs GJ was knocked unconscious. She was taken to hospital where she was treated for 3 days.
The car driver was later convicted of driving without due care and attention.
Brain Injury Claim
Mrs GJ was left to piece her life back together. She suffered fractured ribs to the right side of her chest, soft tissue injuries to her thoracic spine and legs and an acute brain injury.
Brain Injury Symptoms
As a result of the brain injury she suffered blurred vision, problems with her memory and concentration and fatigue. She was a hard-working woman who wanted to get back to work as a gardener as quickly as possible, and to her credit she was back at work within 3 months in spite of her struggles. Physical and mental fatigue is often a debilitating problem from injuries of this nature which she had to battle against and there has been a significant deterioration in the quality of her life.
